Red Tiger Security at BlackHat 2010 Vegas

We started preparing for this year's BlackHat event over six months ago when we stared compiling what became our 25-page white paper on "Electricity for Free? The dirty underbelly of SCADA and Smar Grid Systems." After attending several prior BlackHat and DefCon session that were...lets be honest...a little light on the SCADA side, we thought that it was time for a heavy hitting presentation. Instead of some independent researcher that can barely spell SCADA, standing there talking about a fuzzer, we are going to break down the entire electric grid system, from power generation, to transmission, and distrobution to the home. We are going to describe the various SCADA, EMS, DCS, DMS, and control systems required for each process, the vulnerabilities we have seen over the past 10 years of assessing these systems, and then disclose some interesting statistics on SCADA and Smart Grid vulnerabilities. This is not an acedemic or theoretical presentation. This is actual information from Electrical Engineers and Security Practitioners who have conducted over 120 security assessments on these systems over the past 10 years. There is plenty of meat on this bone. We encourage you to come to our session. If you can't make the session, you will miss out, but still contact us if you want a copy of the slides after the event. If you will be in the Vegas area, and want to meet up, drop me a line at _Jonathan
